All persons selling fireworks, as defined by the regulations of the Fire Marshall of the State of Kansas, within the City of Clifton, Kansas, must first obtain a permit from the City Clerk. The application for said permit shall contain the location of the stand or building to be used in the sale of said fireworks, the names of all employees, the name of the person responsible for the business and any other information deemed appropriate by the Clerk or the Governing Body. Upon good cause shown, issuance of said permit may be denied. No fireworks shall be sold until said permit has been issued in the name of the person designated as responsible for the business.
Sale of fireworks shall be allowed between the hours of 8:00a.m. and 10:00 p.m. from July 1 to July 4.
Sale of fireworks at times other than as allowed herein, sale of fireworks s contrary to the regulations of the State Fire Marshall, the allowance of unlawful conduct or any other conduct which constitutes a nuisance, or health or fire hazard, in or around the place where fireworks are sold, shall be cause for revocation of the permit and notification to the State Fire Marshall. All persons engaged in the sale and storage of fireworks shall comply with all regulations formulated by the State Fire Marshall pursuant to K.S.A. 31-133.

Fireworks may only be fired or detonated between the hours of 8:00a.m. and 10:00 p.m. from July 1 to July 4, except on July 4 when fireworks may be fired until 12:00 midnight. No fireworks at any time shall be fired or detonated in the Business district of the city, described as follows: 75 feet from the center of Parallel Street on either side, from Berry Street to Cloud Street.

Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be adjudged guilty of a misdemeanor and fined in any sum not exceeding Twenty-five Dollars ($25).
